Our goal at Melinda Acupuncture is to utilize a traditional Chinese Medicinal approach, which incorporates total body wellness into each acupuncture appointment. To achieve this, our practitioners assess each patient at each step in their treatment journey to ensure their concerns are addressed and their needs are met, making each session personal to you.

About Dr. Melinda Tran,
DAc, MAOM, LAc


Dr. Melinda Tran, DAc, LAc, is an experienced practitioner in the field of acupuncture and holistic health. She founded her own clinic, Melinda Acupuncture, in 2022 after a successful career in massage therapy, aesthetics, and acupuncture clinical work.


Dr. Melinda's academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Health Science from UMass Boston, along with Master's and Doctoral Degrees in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture at MCPHS. She is dedicated to continuing her studies through the National Certification Board for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (NCBAHM).


Dr. Melinda's practice emphasizes Chinese-style acupuncture and herbal medicine. She is diligently expanding her expertise to include Orthopedic acupuncture therapy and advanced Chinese Medicinal gynecology. This continuing education, in addition to her skills in inclusive fertility support and overall pain management, shapes her collaborative treatment approach to promoting her patients' health and wellness. 


Effective May 2026, Dr. Melinda is no longer in network with Cigna.



About Eric Chi,

LAc, Dipl. OM


Eric is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist with a strong focus on orthopedic care. He holds a BS in Biochemistry from Rutgers University and a Master's in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture at MCPHS. Eric is also a diplomat of the NCCAOM.


Eric's background in physical therapy and post-operative care has helped develop his acupuncture techniques to align with rehabilitative approaches. While drawing on his background in other health care practices and traditional Chinese Acupuncture, Eric has discovered his specialty in electro-acupuncture and trigger-point orthopedic needling to treat a wide range of conditions, including sports-related injuries and pregnancy-related pain.


Eric distinguishes himself as a compassionate practitioner who is deeply committed to patient education. Driven by a genuine desire for tangible outcomes, he aims to witness the positive impact of his care over time.

About Monica Trobagis
LAc


Monica is a dedicated and passionate healer, holding a Master’s degree in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture at MCPHS and a B.A. from the University of Delaware. She is an enthusiastic practitioner of the internal arts, having shared her love of yoga with the Boston community since 2017. Beyond her expertise in mindful movement, Monica is also a black belt in traditional martial arts, embodying discipline and strength.


With her rich background in movement, teaching, and body awareness, Monica brings a fresh, holistic perspective to her acupuncture practice. She has a special focus on pain management and orthopedic acupuncture, blending precise, targeted techniques with the time-honored principles of traditional East Asian medicine to promote healing and well-being.


About Tony Beal

LAc, Dipl. OM


Tony is a passionate and dedicated licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. He holds both a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from UMass Dartmouth and a Master of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture at MCPHS.


Tony takes a unique approach to his practice, focusing on direct manual therapies that prioritize compassionate care for every patient. He believes that Asian Bodywork enables him to connect more deeply with his patients, promoting relaxation, inner healing, and rejuvenation. Tony offers a combination of techniques, including acupressure, reflexology, Shiatsu massage principles, and the artful application of herbal medicine.


In addition to his clinical work, Tony is a Research Coordinator for the CARE Study at BI Medical Center, exploring the healing effects of acupuncture on symptoms of Gulf War Illness in veterans.
